ERIC, 7-year-old male Eleonora Cockatoo. Definitely prefers women. Quite gentle, a big and beautiful bird with a good personality.

NICKY, 7-to-10-year-old Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. A spunky bird with lots of character, who wouldn't be a problem for a confident handler with some cockatoo savvy.

FRENCH, 10-year-old male Eleonora Cockatoo. He went through some hard times and got serious about plucking his feathers, but is doing quite well now that he is getting lots of attention.

NICO (the Love Sponge), teenaged male Yellow Naped Amazon. A big, beautiful, entertaining bird who talks a little, whistles, loves to have his head scritched, loves attention, is good tempered, and gets along OK with other birds. But he's also cage territorial and sometimes does his best to intimidate new people. He's stick trained and cooperative, but will only step up on your hand when he asks you to pick him up. His previous owners were terrified of him, but he settled in very nicely and very quickly at his foster home. He has a lot of potential, but should go to someone with previous large-bird experience who's confident and who has a lot of time, love, and patience to give to him. If that's you, you'll be highly rewarded, probably quickly.

MORE COCKATOOS—We have several other cockatoos, ranging in size from Goffin's to Moluccans. All are nice, easy birds. We'll put up a detailed list of them shortly.
